And sometimes WSJTX or other software changes the sound output without
changing the name in setup windows... You have to set the *same* name
*again* before it works...

One of the Windows annoyances is that it re-arranges audio devices when USB devices change. Also, often sets the latest addition to default.
You must bear that in mind, keep them all on and

I do a lot of work with Linux and WSJT-X. I build and compile on SuSE Linux Enterprise, Rocky 9 (Red Hat Flavor), and Debian 11. Of all the Linux distros, I find SuSE Leap or Enterprise

If you have Gridtracker, the latest version treats “RR73” same as CQ, flags it and calls it out audibly (if you’ve chosen that option.)

Which is why WSJT-X has a anti-bot process. He would have to modify the source code. With respect to bot prevention, WSJT-X is working as intended.

I second Rick on this having helped a friend move his long-time Windows setup to a new Mac. Getting WSJT-X fonts and waterfall width and resolution right on his 5K screen was doable and much easier on

I saw a7 for a FT8 signal (2.6rc3), but the document explains it only for
JT65. I guess that the call or the locator are coming from an old message.

Since I am running an older LTS distro of Kubuntu I find it better to compile from the source tarball. Everything works and I probably won't upgrade by distro until it goes end of
