That would be counterproductive. If the time current time drift is caused by clock problems associated with high cpu load, elevating the process priorities would make that worse, giving Windows less

ntpq can't show good status and the system clock be off, so are you certain? If this isn't a system clock problem, how can another lesser tool do any better?

It has nothing to do with moisture. It has to do with braid looking like an inductor at times. Inductors are a resistance to RF, therefore they can defeat the purpose of the ground strap when made

NTP was working fine. Exploring a different avenue now. Time servers don't seem to be the problem.

There seems to be both linear time shift of half a second from 18:48:15 to 18:49:00. Then at 18:50:00 a jump of one second. Finally at 18:51:00 another 0.4 seconds jump. All to the same

Thanks for the comment. I don't think all those stations are off time. It's possible I suppose, but they seem to be communicating with each other.

those time differences could be them and not you..... also, make sure
your virus scan is not happening while the laptop is in use. that could

The fact of the matter is that I am not so tach savvy with matters Linux related. I am also very keen on WSJT-X work natively on Android for a truly excellent /P experience.

If you're running EFHW, I have had problems as well. Ordered 50 clamp on MIX 31 ferrites and put them on everything... multiples on the coax etc.
Lot's of experiments but might fix one band but
