During Meinberg installation fast burst is an option.
Also a common mistake some make is forgetting to use the pulldown to set their country (and if missed Meinberg won't work).

I think part of the problem may be here -- setting maximum width without knowing the scaling seems like like a potential problem.Maybe this should be minimum width and minimum height?

I managed to cure that by adding Q65 to the list of modes. Someone suggested updating ADIF Master, but I already have the latest issue loaded.

My vote is NO to an automatic switch to contest mode.
My vote is YES for a contester switch to toggle between normal and contest

1) You have the wSJTX window and minimum width
2) Your text magnification is inappropriately affecting the labels
in those buttons. Do the labels in the "Log QSO", "Stop", etc.

I see something similar sometimes. I go to start, meinberg and restart the ntp service. It works fine after that.
Also, make sure you have iburst for each server in the ntp config file.

I don't see how QT limits are the cause of the mode selection buttons being of insufficient width and cropping the button text. That IMO is a design decision. None of the other buttons on the UI
