I am very familiar with WSJT operating on my Flexradio for many years. Just got a UBitx v6 SDR QRP transceiver. As recommended, I setup WSJT for CAT control with a FT-817. CAT tests Green and PTT

Just my opinion, but it's not a software issue. Getting WSJT-X & JT-ALERT
pointed to the right sound devices can be a bit confusing and yes issues
can occur if you don't have things setup

Do you mean your computer does not have an HDMI port or do you mean you don't use the HDMI port.

Most tuners do not really like being in automatic tune more on full power. I know my MFJ tuner controlled by my IC7300 doesnt. So I have to semi-auto tune it with 10W when I change bands.

My FT991A was Intermittently shutting down. When WSJT keyed it, it would reset. I checked my power supply and power cables and all was well.
What I found was, apparently the antenna tuner does not

That's a "band-aid." The proper solution is grounding and bonding. See N0AX's ARRL book on the topic, to which I contributed, and/or these slides for tutorial talks I've done at Visalia, Pacificon,

That sounds like RFI in the shack....notorious on USB devices and is band and power sensitive. You should find that if you turn power way down the problem goes away.Chokes on ALL wires -- USB cables,
