you have previously installed a package called wsjtx-data , you must remove that package before installing the wsjtx package. sudo apt remove wsjtx-data

i am using Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS running WSJT-x 2.1.2
trying to update to WSJT-x 2.5.1 but i get errors; copy from terminal window below....
what am i doing wrong or missing??

Try creating a new config...you'll have to enter all new data again.
wsjtx -r test
And if that works zip up the directory below and send a dropbox/ondedrive link or such so it can debugged to figure

Win 11, YUCK! Other then programs, it is slow and I guess has printing issues.
WSJT was working and I was trying to get rig and rotor control working. I made a setting change in WSJT and it closed.

Hi Bill, I upgraded to Monterey yesterday and did not have to re-add the com.wsjtx.sysctl.plist file…I only had to reselect the cat control port and I was off to the races…Using 2.5.1…73 Gary

Sounds like the file extensions are not viewed. Try asking windows to allow extension. Then see if adi shows up

the WSJT-X Windows installer does not support updates while the prior version is still running. Make sure you have closed all instances of WSJT-X then try the install

I have just tried to install v2.5.1 and get an error with respect to file Qt5core.dll. Any ideas? Using Windows 10 and all previous WSJT-X versions have installed correctly. Currently using v2.5.0.

did you log the QSO by pressing the "Log QSO" button? If you want the "Log QSO" dialog to open when WSJT-X thinks you may wish to log a QSO then check the "Settings->Reporting->Prompt me to log
