Bill,I had the same question that Martin did. “gpsd -V” doesn’t work for me. I get “gpsd: command not found”. This is on a Rpi4 running Buster.

it is unlikely that DXpeditions use FT8 DXpedition mode on the "usual" FT8 subbands, they are more likely using the "multi-streaming" extension to the MSHV clone of WSJT-X. It is unfortunate

Unfortunately some DXPeditions use Fox & Hounds mode on default FT8 frequencies, defeating some of the advantages of that mode, and negating the advantage of your suggestion to use a F&H

I find the power slider to be fairly accurate, if not near the top. If you set up for a 0dB signal, and follow the slider to drop, say 10dB, it is pretty accurate.

I also would like lower powers to be accommodated but I guess the protocol can

If you use multiple servers, Meinberg should ignore any with bad
times as "false tickers" or "outlyers". I "seed" my NTP configuration
file with two or three publicly accessible stratum 1 servers

What I take from that is that about 20 minutes after midnight on Saturday non-compliant servers will be kicked off the NTP server list. I shall sleep peacefully Saturday night.
