1. If you're on a single user computer, your userid is ALREADY an administrator, and there's no need to run WSJT-X that way. FWIW .. any Windows program that has to run (not install)

Hi Dave,
for the settings, make the changes yo need then quit WSJT-X. That will save them.
My suggestion was to kill the jt9 process just once then run WSJT-X until it crashes and report the error

I've been using Task Manager to kill the JT9 process today. Several crashes using 15A but not so many using 30A. I did notice that it seemed to have defaulted to "Deep" mode rather than

There can be no simple answer to a "minimum PC requirement" for using WSJT-X, as there are far too many variables and parameters. Your computer is fast enough.

I have now if things don't work out. I hope everybody doesn't abandon FT8.

The packages are for buster. You’re running stretch which seems to be not supported.
You’ll have to upgrade to stretch at a minimum, sorry.
