I suspect the issue may lay directly or indorextly with Win4Yaesu, to check that try closing down any other software that is also using Win4Yaesu to control your rig. If that doesn't work

That would be nice, but already call/n, where n = 1, 2, .. 9, 0 is a “special” call sign. Call/Wn would be double special call sign. That means not enough bits are available for that

FT8, FT4, MSK144, and other new modes like FST4 do not have Type 1 and Type 2 compound calls. They simply have standard format calls and non-standard format calls.

Does your licencing authority require you to sign /W0 or is it optional?
In the UK we are obliged to change our call depending which country we are operating in but there is no obligation to sign /m,

I got a Flex in 2016 so I've not had to use a sound card interface

if you right click and let both receive and transmit go together, then when you click on a " qso partner" only receive will move and your transmit will stay, if you have 'hold Tx Freq' selected
