we miss it too ;) I can confirm this is a known regression defect in WSJT-X v2.3.0 RC2, it is fixed for the next release.

The obvious follow-on question then... Given that 16 bit ADC sound cards are old technology now, is there any advantage to using a 24 bit ADC sound card?

When a ft8 station is calling me with a report in the first call, the wsjt-x will almost always log a previously received (from another station) report.

Have edited CMakeLists.txt in ../src/wsjtx dir, but it's still finding a 3.9 clause so perhaps I should edit other instances of this file...

I don't recall why we upped the required CMake version. Can you try editing the CMakeLists.txt file to set the minimum required CMake version to the one you have and report back any errors
