Hi David,
there is a known defect in WSJT-X v2.2.2 with WSPR band hopping mode. If you need band hopping mode then I recommend you use WSJT-X

John,
I had much the same problems until I ran a #12 wire ground from the transmitter to the frame of the computer. My computer does not have provision for a ground, but I put a ground lug under one

I suspect a basic antenna problem, which is the lack of a dedicated return for antenna current. If we don't provide a return, Mother Nature will find her own, which may be through your ham shack and

John,
most likely your RFI is hitting the USB interface between PC and TRX. You should use a USB cable with double shielding and RF chokes an each end. If this does not solve the problem try to

I think you are on the right track.
I have ferrite chokes, mainly clamp-ons, on every lead into the computer and also on any power supply or connecting leads, mains and PSU. If possible I use

This, like others, is a case where having a field strength meter would be very handy to have.
Do you have all of your equipment bonded to ground? Pwr supply, radio, tuner & computer?
One assumes you

Suspect RFI into computer
I am new to the digi modes and am slowly both figuring this out and understanding how it works. But I suspect that I have getting RFI into my computer causing problems. I am using an IC-706MKIIG

Geez Louise. I guess I "ZONED OUT". I didn't even know there was a difference between an ITU and CQ zone, figuring that they were a different way of saying the same thing. Thanks to everyone for

Ed,
I have followed with interest this discussion. I have not seen which rig you are using and how its audio is connected to your PC. Also PC operating system may be an issue.

Bill,
Two additional observations. Under these failing conditions the decode count on the main WSJT-X window remains at 0 regardless of the number of signals on the waterfall. Second, JTALERT doesn't

Just to add Bill, I have seen many times the cq and out zones are reverse in qrz. Not sure if qrz or manual input is causing issue. I have corrected several in my log

Unfortunately there are two radio amateur zones CQ Zones and ITU Zones, that have different numbering.
In CQ Zones Mexico is number 6.

Bill - Thanks so much for responding to my question.
Since you asked for an example, take the following CQ message:
