Not helpful... A system upgrade is very time consuming.
A full build will be fun trying to solve dependency issues.

If you are using V1.4 Beta version of WSJT-X you are not using the correct version of software presently at V2.2.2. My 706 and signalink uses VOX as the ptt.

when using multiple WSJT-X instances you should have the first instance started with no --rig-name= command line option.

First suggestion is to crank up the #29 control link baud rate to 19200. Good news is that if you can change frequency you have picked the correct rig ID 58h. Now for some questions:

there is no such claim. The package we produce is targeted at Ubuntu 18.04. Mint Linux 19 is equivalent to that. You have two choices, either upgrade your system to Cinnamon, or build

the package is uninstallable on a fairly fresh Linux Mint 18.4 system.
The page claimed the package is correct for that version

One note for all - 33 & 34 set the filter limits & yes they are very important.
You may want to lower #33 to 150 or 200 Hz, especially if you are working Fox & Hound - DXpedition as they frequently
