Re: Frequency Cal - WHY?!
Frequency calibration can be important for modes other than JT/FT (which doesn’t care).
Operating MSK-144 on 6M with a frequency error more than 200 Hz will leave you wondering where everyone

Hi Steve,
thanks for the issue report and further details. This is a known problem with some Windows Language selections, it is related to the region settings of the decimal point and number grouping

Hi Gary,
Not sure where you got the idea "its needed because it has to be within 1 hz for FT8". There is no such requirement. You will not get more decodes after calibrating.

Re: Treatment of QTH Locators in WSJT-X
I thought that too. Maybe if the four digits received in a CQ call match the first 4 digits of a stored locator, the extra two digits could be added automatically.

KX2+WSJT+Raspberry Pi
Has anyone succeeded running WSJTX loaded on Raspberry Pi and the KX2? Can you share the settings on the WSJTX side as well as the KX2 side? Also, what kind of sound card do you use?
Thanks.

If you are working portable or special events station the stored QTH locator might be incorrect.

Hi Steve,
does wsjtx start but not show the UI, i.e. is it visible in Windows Task Manager? What version of Windows are you using?

No problems at all here with the same setup. Windows updates can change things around though and require resetting. I have 4 sound devices hooked to my PC and they all play nicely.

Dick,
When your computer slows down, use Task Manager to see what is using the most memory. Incidentally, how much memory does your laptop have? You might also want to see how much cpu

I am a newbie to FT8, and after reading this forum for a bit there are different opinions about lots of things.
In reference to RRR/RR73, I do not have a problem with either… to me it is a sign
