Check your DC power connection from power supply to radio.  This includes powerpoles & fuses.  I've had poor connections develop & needed 'cleaning'.  Also, I've had a bad fuse socket that showed heat discoloration.  Yes, even running less than max power on my rig.

OM,

what is the full text of the error message, including the details? For your convenience you can copy the full text of the WSJT-X error message to the Windows clipboard by hitting CTRL+C while the message window has keyboard focus.

Casey,

WSPR uses a two message sequence, with the call sent as a hash code in the second messae, if you use a non-standard callsign or a 6-digit grid locator. that is what you are seeing. You can check the "Prefer type 1 messages" in WSJT-X WSPR mode to avoid this in some circumstances, I am not sure if WSPR 2 has a similar feature.

Would seem to me a data collision between the below.

I’m running a modest WSJT-X set-up consisting of WSJT-X/Version 2.1.2, RumLog NG/Version 4.5 for Logging, an Elecraft K3 transceiver using a USB/Prolific cable, an iMic audio connection between the above and finally an Apple MacBook Pro laptop running High Sierra/MacOS 10.13.6.

During operation on the Ham Radio HF low bands using FT-8, I can operate very effectively using just WSJT-X.  Similarly alone, I can log QSO’s separately with its matrix grids following the frequencies/mode dialed in with the Elecraft.  Yet with RumLogNG running in the background (which has been recommended to start first) then I start WSJTX software it stops with a pop-up menu asking if I want to reconfigure settings. If I quit RumLogNG, then restart WSJTX, it will operate again normally.

I’ve investigated the WSJT-X Manual (specifically, WSJT-X & RumLogNG section), QRZ.com forums and done a Google/Bing search looking for settings which may correct this situation. I’ve not found anything which could correct the situation.  Could you offer any corrective advice?

To move a window from one monitor the the other you simply click and drag the window to the monitor you wish it to be displayed on.  The application will usually remember which monitor you prefer.

In Windows 10 or any other version.  Right click the desktop and select Display Settings or Go to settings, display and then scroll down to multiple displays.  Most of the time the computer recognizes the new monitor.  You can manipulate the displays after identifying the two monitors (1 vs 2) by dragging them in the orientation you prefer.

OK, but I am not suggesting you remove it just because it is there. It may well provide some useful service when its working correctly. What I said is that you should check if it is using excessive memory, by excessive I mean virtually all of it, i.e. multiple Gigabytes. It will be pretty obvious if it is doing so if you look at the process memory usage in Task Manager. Only if it is clearly causing a problem should you consider taking the steps I suggested to remove it from your system.

Highlighting call signs already worked in the right hand, column of the activity window frequency band that is being monitored. This will help decision making on whether to call a station after they complete a QSO, but have not called CQ (which does provide highlighting). I think this would be a welcome feature to many users.
