Since the ARRL specifically says that Field Day is NOT a contest, I would plan to use regular frequencies. We do submit a score sheet for FD, but they say that it is to compare performance under different conditions with different setups and different people. I like "scoring well" and always compare to previous years, but that is not the be all end all of Field Day. To me it is a failure if 1 - We do not have fun and 2 - We do not get new people interested in Ham Radio and 3 - Sometimes there is food! I think Hams worldwide know this is FD weekend in the US and CA. Actual contests are a little more intense. If you want to contest, try the King of Spain contest that is also this weekend. I will be on FT8 & FT4 & SSB from K4LM in Jupiter, FL. We are 4A with 3 towers and 10-40 beams for CW/FT modes and SSB and a 6-meter beam.

Hope to log everyone, good luck and 73,

If you can get set up for building from a .spec file using rpmbuild
and/or mock then it will be a lot easier. The .spec file contains all
the BuildRequires: and Requires: statements so you know which packages
you need to install.

All I need to do is to download the tarball, put it in the correct
directory with another file that comes with the previous wsjtx source
rpm and run rpmbuild after editing the version in the spec file.

Step#1 is run WSJT-X with 224.0.0.1 and also run message_aggregator in the bin directory.  It will indicate if WSJT-X is transmitting the packets.

You'll find even better visualization of low-level signals with the palette I designed.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/wwiwb7609f5a6xa/W9MDB_WSJTX.pal?dl=0

You can import this into the by clicking the "Adjust" button and "Import".

You can adjust the lower 9-values of this palette to black and get a little more contrast if you like a black background.
Black, dark blue, or dark gray should work depending on your druthers.

Clicking on the lower edge of the spectrum display window and pulling it down until it stops expands the vertical scale of the spectrum display presenting "Frequency vs Signal Amplitude", but the water fall divisions remain the same height.
The waterfall division height is defined by the N Avg value.

FT4 and FT8 recommended subbands (as of June 2022)-

FT-4 Recommended Sub-bands

(Technician licensees are limited (per FCC Rules) to using only the
10 and 6 meter subbands {see below in bold}):

1.836-1.840 (users are encouraged to avoiding WSPR operations on 1.840)
3.580-3.590
7.080-7.090
14.080-14.090
21.080-21.090
28.080-28.090
50.330 to 50.340

When choosing your operating frequency, set the radio dial at the
bottom of the sub-band and QSO with stations on audio frequencies
within the radio passband, typically 2.5-4 kHz wide. If a sub-band
becomes crowded, move the radio dial frequency up in 2 kHz
increments, as needed. (For example: 7.080, 7.082, 7.084, 7.086 and
7.088) >

FT-8 Recommended Sub-bands

(Technician licensees are limited (per FCC Rules) to using only the
10 and 6 meter subbands {see below in bold}):

1.840-1.844 (users are encouraged to avoiding WSPR operations on 1.840)
3.590-3.600 (No Digital above 3600)
7.090-7.100
14.090-14.100
21.090-21.100
28.090-28.100
50.340 to 50.350

When choosing your operating frequency, set the radio dial at the
bottom of the sub-band and QSO with stations on audio frequencies
within the radio passband typically 2.5-4 kHz wide. If a sub-band

increments, as needed. (For example: 7,090, 7.092, 7.094, 7.096 and
