It's just about the ELAD FDM Duo.  It had the wrong split command in it.

Can someone explain what "CQ LCT" means?

It's the Lewis and Clark Trail -- a very non-common abbreviation.

Tim,
LCT is the Lewis & Clark Trail event. For some reason nothing on QRZ when you work one of the stations. They do have a web site with all of details. I don’t have the URL readily available. I think the event runs until 6/19
Good luck

Gary,
All decoded lines that you see in teh Band Activity window are archived in the ALL.TXT file. Top access this file, which can be huge, click on "File" in the upper left corner and then select "Open log directory". if you use Notepad++, you should bew ably to read the data. An easy way to search a huge ALL.TXT file is to use a program called AllText.exe written by Sam, W2JDB, the creator of the QLog program for blind Hams.

To download the AllText.exe file you must first join the Groups.IO group called "ProgramsByW2JDB". After doing so, you should be able to download the program and its users manual file at:

Doesn't All.Txt record everything displayed in the Band Activity window?

The all.txt file has all the decoded messages in text format.

Hi Gary,
Is there a way to record the data decoded and displayed in the Band Activity window?
Yes, WSJT-X already does this.  See file ALL.TXT in the log directory.

Hi Gary,

Look for ALL.txt file in the logging directory.
You may need to rename it now and then to keep its size suitable for any text editor or other program to study it. You may rename it at any time and wsjt-x will make a new one.

locked Soundblaster USB Soundcard stops working under Ubuntu #AudioIssues

dl8le

Hello,

due to the poor performance of one radio pc I switched from Windows 10 to Ubuntu (latest version). Input and output in the audio settings are displayed as alsa_input.usb-Creative_ .... using Mono for input and Both for output.I have installed PulseAudio Volume Control as well following a proposal in one Linux information I have found in the web after I was unable to get the soundcard to communicate with WSJT-X (version 2.5.4). After installing PulseAudio I was able to use the soundcard not only for receiving but for transmitting as well. The radio I use at the moment is a YAESU FT1000MP MKV.

Unfortunately it happens from time to time (reason seems the change of settings in the audio volume to adjust either input or output level) that there is no output for transmission. Switching back to Windows everything is fine, the soundcard communicates properly with WSJT-X. After re-booting the pc and going back to Ubuntu it happens in 80% of the times that the soundcard is now working again, i.e. the audio signal will be transmitted. But in 20% of the attempts minimum one more re-booting is required to be able to transmit the radio. Under Ubuntu there is a strange behaviour of the signal, i.e. the output power is fluctuating very fast (looks as if something is oscillating).

Operating the pc under Windows again is no solution because the performance is too poor. Therefor any help to solve this soundcard issue would be great.
