And is your ground rod bonded to the house ground too? Mike W9MDB

It depends on how susceptible the USB cable is to RFI. Mike W9MDB

Question. I’m using an old Kenwood TS 850s, and thinking of getting a second radio. I am considering an ICOM 7300, but noticed how cheap IC 718’s are at the present. Any comments good or bad using the 718 for WSJTx?

One more thing...just to be clear, I am experiencing this issue on my portable CHAMELEON MPAS 2.0 which only has a radial coming from the antenna and my universally grounded (copper rod) antenna in my backyard. However, the problem is only happening on the upper bands (>18Mhz). The lower bands are not seeing this issue with WSJT-x.

Does the problem go away if you reduce the output power to near zero and/or transmit into a dummy load? If so, it's almost certainly RFI.

Good Afternoon All,
I am having this same problem but only from 18mhz on up. On 14mhz down, the rig (IC7100) interfaces normally and well with WSJT-x and FLRIG. Icom radios do have a one USB cable, as we all know, for CAT and AUDIO. Is my issue attributable to the same reasons as the failure others are experiencing? I have tried changing antennas, taking the tuner out of the mix, changing USB cables but the problem persists. Any help would be most appreciated. 73 Mark KK2L

Hi to all.
I developing SDR software for LimeSDR-USB (2ch RX 0.1-3.8GHz) and I'm stuck with MAP65 network protocol. So far I managed to form UDP packets and send them to MAP65, they are displayed but inversed (in the center of spectrum is +/-48KHz and at the both edges is 0Hz). MAP65 in lower left corner is displaying message Receiving F2 or Receiving F1 (green all the time without any red NILL messages). When I try to send one RF channel via soundcard (using VAC) it is working fine, decoding on 2m and 70cm Jt65 and Q65 modes but only one polarization. Where can I find documentation for struct Linrad (from file soundin.cpp, line 339)? Using Wireshark I'm monitoring UDP packets and they look like packets from Linrad but not 100% sure about first 24 bytes (packet header). Change passband_direction in header has no effect. Maybe I need to change settings inside MAP65 program? Goran, yt7pwr

What order do you start your software?
Do you have Log4OM starting WSJTX?
Try starting WSJTX before Log4OM.

Hi,
Thank you all for the replies and I must make an apology Bill I was incorrect in my statement that it slowed down the programme as I have no evidence of this. As for the uploading of the adif file due to its size it does slow down the way way in which I carry out this task, which is by using the online logging uploader. As suggested here by some others I will just create a dummy adif file and copy and paste the new files for upload into that. Thanks again for all replies. 73 all Hamish

WSJT-X & JTAlert Interface
#Windows10
#WSJTX_config
Larry Scantlan
I have downloaded the latest versions for both WSJT-X (v.2.5.2) and JTAlert (v.2.50.8) and installation completed as it should . WSJT-X is operating fine as I have completed several QSOs just fine. I have JTAlert configured to start WSJT-X which it does without issue. What is NOT happening is none of the JTAlert screens are populating decoded callsigns or any other data from decodes showing in the WSJT-X screen. It does not populate the band distribution table showing FT8, FT4, JT65, etc either. I have gone into the JTAlert View dropdown and clicked on Callsigns Window (F3) but not change. I uninstalled both programs and re-installed them but experienced the same result. My operating system is Windows OS 10 Pro. Before the change to JTAlert's layout when it was just one screen showing decodes, it worked well. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, de Larry, NA4DX

There are numerous places where these names exist in the registry. Just search for the name in regedit and eventually you'll find the one that works. On my system it was these two keys HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveMovie\devenum 64-bit\{33D9A762-90C8-11D0-BD43-00A0C911CE86}\wave:{5A7A3363-0608-4A4F-96BB-E903D6EFF165} HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ActiveMovie\devenum 64-bit\{E0F158E1-CB04-11D0-BD4E-00A0C911CE86}\wave:{2B317D26-CACB-4A20-9A63-78337ECB5000} Mike W9MDB

You should adjust your rig's audio level to 30dB on a quiet spot for WSJTX. It's mentioned in the manual. 30dB is the minimum level to overcome quantization error and is the proper level for all digital modes. Mike W9MDB
