I find that if you are on his frequency or overlapping his, it will disable your TX.   this was built in, i believe to prevent qrm.   does it do it if you hold frequency, then tx elsewhere?

Its not a JTAlert issue. I am seeing the same thing. It does not do this
all the time but it is frustrating. Using 2.5.1.
I push the TX Enable and it fires off OK. Unless I get another RR73 that
goes to a different station, then it shuts off again. The Log QSO window
doesn't pop up either.
Its happens very erratically. No rhyme or reason to it at all.

Thanks Allan! Glad it's not just me! Laurie already posted that it's not a JTAlert problem. Wish someone from the WSJT programming crowd actually looked at this group!

Duty cycle 100%, sending a repeated test message with a few hundred milliseconds of carrier every 15 seconds.   Power 100 Watts to a dipole antenna at 9m AGL

The transmitter is on a timer , on at 22:00z off at 08:00z    There may also be some transmissions outside of this time window

Any reports direct or however you wish to show them.

Double check your path to the log file.
Look at the path in Log4OM and ensure that's the path in JTAlert too.

If it logged and you got the message than JTAlert is not pointing to the correct log file to confirm.
It it didn't log then you don't have Log4OM set up to receive the JTAlert ADIF record.

Hi,

I have the IC-705, It will almost certainly be RFI.

I was lucky, I had a well screen cable from other experiences with RFI

I used a screened double ferrite cable from a Digital Camera.

On Amazon:  Screened Cable with Ferrites

In use most days for hours, No issues

For a moment. After one transmission, I lose audio input to WSJT-X - I know there is a signal coming out of the radio's headset jack, but nothing is showing up on the signal bar (on the left of the WSJT-X display).

Hi Stephen,

I would make first a simple check about RFI. Try to send at a lower level e.g. using wsjt-x Pwr slider and see whether it helps. Even better is to use dummy load. If that helps see e.g. mails “[WSJTX] Mouse cursor blocked or very slow in TX on mac M1 #IssueReport #macOS” from Jim Brown and those links in them to some useful documents about RFI and how fight it.

Hi AH0U,
just installed  WSJT-X on a Raspberry-2W (small PI wit 512MB + WIFI, no audio jack).

I start from a fresh "2021-05-07-raspios-buster-armhf" on SD, I enabled some stuffs like SSH, VNC and configured WiFi AccessPoint.
Then I update OS to lastest version.

Before installing WSJT-x I add some libs:
sudo apt-get install libqt5multimedia5-plugins libqt5serialport5 libqt5sql5-sqlite libfftw3-single3

Last, I installed "wsjtx_2.5.2_armhf"

With this configuration, I'm able to run my rigs:
Yaesu FT817 : CAT on USB UART-RS232, Audio on USB-sound card
mcHF-QRP : CAT and AUDIO  on native USB (DSP uC)

The RaspBerry is Headless, and I use VNC client running on my mobile Phone (samsung)  or PC.

Since you are using P4 may be you can try to use arm64 packages.

But pls,   which is your audio interface ?

locked Losing Input Audio on Raspberry Pi #raspberryPi #Elecraft #NewUser

Stephen Celuzza

Hi everyone,

I've installed WSJT-X (v2.3.0) on my Raspberry Pi 4 running Bullseye. My radio is an Elecraft KX3, and rig control is working fine with the USB cable. I have a cheap USB sound card in the Pi, and with a little bit of fiddling, I can get everything working. For a moment. After one transmission, I lose audio input to WSJT-X - I know there is a signal coming out of the radio's headset jack, but nothing is showing up on the signal bar (on the left of the WSJT-X display).

Some googling indicates that this might be a known problem with the audio drivers in the Pi, but even choosing the sound card input/output directly in the WSJT-X settings only works for 1 transmission.

I'm at a loss, and hoping somebody has seen this and has a solution!

Thanks, and 73
Stephen

Nice slide presentation from Jim K9YC

As he notes...and I've seen from the many people I've helped...the "I have a rod outside my shack" improper grounding system is far too common.

The rig is brand new and I’m pretty sure I have all settings correct.

I’ve tried a few variants of OS (Ubuntu Mate, Buster, …) and am having the same issue on all variants.

I’m also not confident in my audio settings, I see that most seem to set both inpu and output to sysdefault:CARD=CODEC, but I only seem to be somewhat successful if I pick the alsa Burr-Brown variants.

Hi Mike -

Does it look like this is something you will be able address?  I'm still not sure why the initial transaction is timing out - it may be timing due to the fact that the Arduino resets on the PC asserting with DTR High.  That said a retry would definitely helpful
