From K1JT:

We are pleased to announce the General Availability (GA) release of WSJT-X version 2.5.0. New features are described in the WSJT-X User Guide here:

and also Release Notes:

On Windows platforms, WSJT-X 2.5 includes MAP65 3.0.0, a wideband polarization-matching tool intended for EME.

Links to WSJT-X 2.5.0 installation packages for Windows, Linux, and Macintosh are available here:

You can also download the packages from our SourceForge site:

It may take a short time for the SourceForge site to be updated.

WSJT-X for Windows now ships with Hamlib built as a dynamic link library (DLL). This change will allow Hamlib bug fixes to be resolved by replacing the DLL with an updated version.

Hi Bob,

you must close down WSJT-X before trying to install an update. Try the update again and it should be fine.

Your mind. Windows 7 support ended on 2020, January.
I know that a lot of people has W7 running (my company ha a couple, too) bu support is ended and I bet that prog does not try setup on w7.

PS: for the second, wait for reply... a lot of time I had that problem with SW that does not install in program (x86) directory.

Can anyone advise how to determine the device path for the CAT serial port in the FT-DX10 radio?

I have tried each of the audio settings provided within WSJT-X, and none of them seem to work (See the attached).

I did a search of the guide for 'Enable AP' and only found the reference in the JT65 section. I always so my homework! I'll look at the other section.

Did you check the User's Guide ??  The information is listed there:

Hi John,

If you simply Google "WSJT-X AP decoding" you can click on the first entry, the WSJT-X Guide. In its list of contents, you click on the line "12.1 AP Decoding".

There is described the "a priori" (AP) decoding.

I suspect the User Guide is a bit ahead of the dev team's posting compiled packages.

Hi John,

Have look on section 12.1. AP Decoding of the User Guide. It improves sensitivity by 2 to 4 dB, see https://physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/k1jt/FT4_FT8_QEX.pdf.

Hi Bill, I followed your advice and install Mojave on a separate partition, I actually removed Big Sur as I wanted a stable base build environment and its working perfectly now with the tool chains pulled from Mac ports.
Thank you for your help, I was fitting a lot of errors with installing the tool chain using brew, now I can of course upgrade to latest OS using an external drive initially at some stage.

Thanks for all your help guys very much appreciated.

it looks like this is an old version of gcc that may have an issue on Big Sur now, am I able to use gcc10 to build
I know that other developers are building for the Apple M1 processor what tool chains are you using please.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mark,

ah OK, yes I forgot about that. You can't build libgcc7, which is a dependency for virtually all of the gcc version builds, on Big Sur. That means that it is not possible to build WSJT-X on Big Sur until we get the refactoring done that works around the issues with newer gfortran versions.

Official WSJT-X builds for macOS are built on Mojave.

Hi Larry,

that's a defect in the WSJT-X User Guide. We stopped providing 32-bit Intel Linux binary packages some time ago as the distributions we target no longer provide operating system updates for 32-bit distributions (Ubuntu and Fedora). You can still build a 32-bit Intel Linux version from sources as far as I know, although I no longer test that capability.

Don't know where you got that URL link, as its not listed on the main WSJT-X page.   All that's there are the 64 bit versions, which may say something about support for 32 bit on Linux.
