With some additional activity, I see now that the colon in the Message window (Message3.png) is an indicator of Q65 decodes.
Perhaps a color change could be substituted. Thanks

If that is the case then frequency changes will be blocked if attempting to do so while transmitting. 73 Bill G4WJS.

This is not clicking in the waterfall. It is double clicking on a CQ in the decode list. With the latest release the "Hold Tx Freq" checkbox acts like it is always checked.
I have to be very quick to click the "set Tx freq to Rx freq" button when I wish to respond to a CQ simplex. Al AB2ZY

So far unchecking "allow frequency change during transmit" seems to have cured the problem with "fake it" and the radio switching back to original frequency.

Bill, Responding to your reply in digest #1862, my friend has now reported on his "Split Operation" settings in WSJT-X 2.4.0 GA. He has used "Fake it" for years with no problems, and used he same when he upgraded to v2.4.0 GA and the PA immediately stopped following WSJT-X and IC-7600 band changes. He has now tried with both "Rig" and "None", and there is no difference. The PA still does not follow the band changes unless it gets a "Tune" signal. As mentioned earlier, I have used v2.4.0 GA on the exact same setup, an IC-7600 and an SPE Expert 1K-FA PA without any problems with band changes, so this is works for some. 73, Frode LA6VQ

The ReadMe.txt file that comes with WSJT-X, 2.4 for Mac says to run the command. 'sysctl -a | grep sysv.shm' and says. "If shmmax is not shown as 52428800 contact me ..."
When I run that command, I get shmmax: 104857600 This is exactly double what the ReadMe.txt file suggests. I suspect 104,857,600 is correct as I see multiple references to that number as "the right" number here in various messages from the group ... So maybe this is just outdated docs? The program seems to run just fine on my Catalina 10.15.7 Mac ....

Last I looked, there was a "Getting Started" doc on the N1MM+ website for use with WSJT-X.

Well I have it keying the radio again and now I have a different quirk as I do not get any replies, I believe a reply would be WX0XXX KD9DOG there ID then mine is that correct?
Hi Jim, I assume that you have looked into The User Guide. In section 7.1. Standard Exchange is a nice presentation what you should see. Normally you will see after your call sign either a locator or signal report. For further help we need to know something more e.g.: 73, Reino OH3mA

Tried to connect Xiegu G90 to my computer. I had it working on UBITX and IC-718. But I tried connecting to G90 I don’t have Any DB showing on the DB chart on left and no signals in the waterfall or in the left hand screen next to transmitted messages. I using Ham Radio Deluxe. I tried Xiegu Ce-19 plus the USB cable I got with the radio. I don’t think I am getting a signal from my receive to the computer. I am using windows 10.and WSJT 2.4

Just upgraded to 2.4.0. Using w/N1MM at the moment.
Hi Al, For CQ set both RX and TX frequencies to the same spot using Ctrl+click on waterfall. Tx follows Rx only, when you answer somebody on a Rx frequency by double clicking, I think. 73, Reino OH3mA

Do you have N1MM+'s WSJT Decode List window open? That window transfers dupe and multiplier information from N1MM+ back to WSJT-X. The dupe/multiplier status is indicated by the background color for the callsign only (not for the entire line) in CQ lines in the WSJT-X Band Activity window. A background color of red behind the callsign means a new multiplier, a background color of blue behind the callsign means a new QSO but not a dupe, and a background color of grey behind the callsign means the contact is a dupe. N1MM+ evaluates dupe/multiplier status for all contacts in the current contest log, regardless of mode, so stations you have worked in other modes on the same band have a grey background. The same information is also displayed directly in the N1MM+ Decode List window.

Well here I go again trying to figure out what this means, I am thinking it has to do with the ports now to redo the whole settings and try and get a green cat button. Is this telling me I have a problem with the port?

I'm looking for suggestions regarding contest logging. I've read the thread on resetting the Cabrillo log; that's not my problem. What I want is to be able to ignore history prior to the contest, but check for dupes during the contest. Do I need to create new logs? If so, which ones? Thanx much! 73 Don NA6Z
Hi Don, If you want to run barefoot, then you could use Cabrillo log for logging and wsjtx_log.adi for dupes checking. You already know how to reset Cabrillo part of the job. The ignoring of the history happens by renaming the wsjtx_log.adi file (so that it will be available after the contest), closing wsjt-x and opening it. At that point wsjt-x cannot find a wsjtx_log.adi and so there is no history stored into the program memory. When you log the first contact, then wsjt-x generates a new wsjtx_log.adi. After the contest you may combine the renamed wsjtx_log.adi and the one used during the contest using any text editor and save it as wsjtx_log.adi. During combination you need to left out from the contest adi file the header information. The combination is needed, if you wish to see in your everyday history also contacts you made during the contest. 73, Reino OH3mA
