I usually click on Enable Tx to CQ again, either before or right after clicking OK for a log entry.

Sometimes the Tx 5 from the other station triggers my WSJT-X 2.3.1 on Win 10 to cycle back to Tx 1 and start the auto seq again with the same station. I've had other stations do this to me, also.

Looks like a bug, to me.

Hi again chaps,

Thanks for your help. I tried not using the serial port for Tx control (set it to PTT in WSJTX) and it then worked, I.e. WSJTX would control PowerSDR on receive. PowerSDR would not then let me use COM3 or 4 because it said they were in use so I added COM5 and 6 in ComOCom and – hep presto, I can now use RTS to control the Tx operation in PowerSDR, probably doesn’t matter which way round as long as the two programs use different COM ports in the new pair. So now I can try out some of your new (to me anyway) exciting modes.

Thanks again,

Ian G3ZER.

Hi,

I’ve previously had an earlier version of WSJT running with Power SDR on a Windows 7 PC. I am trying to get the latest version (2.3.1) running but I keep getting this message -  below. I’m using ComOCom for CAT control which implements COM3 and COM4.

I cannot find that Hamlib is a program running. I really am stuck. Any ideas please.

Hi Ian,

the error message you reported below shows you had configured COM3 in WSJT-X but you say PowerSDR is using that port. Do you get teh same error when you use the correct port in WSJT-X? com0com should be emulating a a cross-over cable, the signals RTS and CTS are output and input respectively, so PowerSDR will be listening on CTS for the PTT signal WSJT-X sends on RTS.

I'm not sure about MSK144 traffic in Europe.. I would watch to see what others are doing. If it gets busy and you see offsets appearing in received CQ decodes, then you might consider running split...
