I guess I am just lucky.  Running IC-7000 on wsjt-x with no problems.  I do have an external fan blowing across the case to move some of the heat away.  It sure seems to run hot even at half power out.  Using the rear 13 pin connector and CIV connection at 9600 baud - Nothing on the Mic or external speaker connections.  Jeff W4PJW

Set handshake to HDWR, as I believe you previously suggested.
WSJTX handshake should be set to *NONE* Both the "Force DTR" and
"Force RTS" boxes should be set to <blank>. microHAM USB Interface III
uses the RTS line from the FTDI UART for PTT and the DTR line from the
FTDI UART for CW/FSK. They are not available for handshake.

The DB15 cable specified for FT-950 (and FTdx1200, FTdx3000) connects
the transceiver CTS to RTS ("fake handshake") which should work with
the transceiver's default settings but the recommendation is to set
(028) GENE CAT RTS OFF (as I have told you on multiple occasions)

Charlie,
if your screen captures are supposed to represent the settings you used along with the rig menu settings above then it's no surprise it doesn't work. You have set the CAT port baud rate on the rig to 4800 but in WSJT-X you have selected 38400, you have RTS/CTS flow control enabled on the rig but you have selected Handshake None in WSJT-X. For both of those reasons it is not going to work.

microHAM USB Device Router *HAS NO BAUD RATE SETTING* when used
with USB Interface III. USB III is a "bare" FTDI UART - Router
provides a wrapper for the Eltima VSPAX driver which allows
the user to "split" the single hardware port to multiple
virtual ports for CAT (CI-V, RS-232, FIF-232, IF-232) and FSK,
CW, PTT.

One can not normally use a single hardware port for a logging
program (CAT) and CW keyboard software or RTTY program (MMTTY,
MMVARI, TrueTTY, etc.) at the same time. The VSPAX package
allows the logger to address "COM #", the CW keyboard to use
"COM #+1" and the RTTY program to use "COM #+3".

Most likely caused by RF in your shack.
Usually fixed by adding ferrites on strategic places.
Since you get comms errors, try ferrites on both ends of the serial cable.

Hi Dennis,

CAT or external USB audio issues that only happen on one or two bands are most likely caused by RFI. Clip on ferrites on the relevant leads may help. You can usually verify the issue by switching to a dummy load or reducing the Tx power level.
