Looking at the screenshot attached to the last post of Steve KS3K, I had this problem for weeks and I finally found a solution playing with the bottom left blue arrow (Spectrum gain). I originally had the same position as the one I see in this picture “5 ¾” and I gradually moved it down to 0. Surprisingly all stations became within the 100 Hz wide at the exception of some monstrous signals popping up occasionally.  As the result my number of decodes went from 10 or less (even 0) in presence of wide messy signals to 2 or 3 times more. Today, with the 30m quite active, I have seen the list jumping up the screen (30 or more at time). As mentioned before, bodacious signals will deteriorate the display, but this can be adjusted when needed by turning the receiver RF gain. down a bit. Do not try to move the arrow with your mousse, just click on the arrow then use the <  > keys to adjust, a few clicks at a time.

It is unfortunate that there are no explanations on how to adjust these 4 blue arrows but obviously they just don’t have to remain where they appear on the initial installation of the program. I hope this help your situation.

Hi Jacques,

the waterfall and 2D spectrum gain and zero offset controls on the WSJT-X Wide Graph have no effect on decoding.
