Hi Andy, Thanks for letting me in. Not as of yet. We are just trying to increase the server base a bit first. HF WSPR worked well with the huge server base, but the packets are too limited for enhanced telemetery. A fudged workaround was used until now. VHF/UHF APRS was also used, but Geofencing had to be applied with the different APRS IRU frequencies. JS8 looks very promising. Since most payloads are only using small solar panels to decrease weight, only daytime transmissions are possible. This leaves us with 20 M for an optimum antenna and functional solution. 40 M by night with a LiPo pill battery, but some of these balloons fly for months... JS8 payloads and software are designed as we speak. Here is the HabHub tracker. Only some balloons achieve float. THAT is the challenge.
