Ok, so then what would you use the SignaLink box for with this radio? Not
sure why they would SELL this device for this radio and it's mic jack cable
if it cannot be used.

All,
Has anyone encountered an error message like this “failed to create a
shared memory block”
which results in another message which says “fatal error”? I’m trying to
install wsjt-x on a MacBook Pro.
Any help is most appreciated!

Seems to me the TYT TH-9800 is an FM box, not SSB, so it will not work
with WSJT-X.

Hello,
I am brand new to this but very good with computers. I have the
SignaLink USB and made the proper jumper connections as stated in
their configuration.
I am having a very hard time finding my radio in the list.. but it IS
in the list for the SignaLink.
I have the TYT TH-9800 (which is a clone to the Yaesu FT-8900).
Neither of these radios are listed in the pull down for RIG in the
settings - radio page.
I keep getting a RIG FAILURE error when doing the TEST CAT button.
I am not sure what settings need to be set for the Baud Rate, Data
Bits, Stop Bits, Hand Shake.
I assume the Serial Port should be USB since the SignaLink is plugged
into the USB and no other port came up when I connected it.

I am not sure if there is another radio that has the same settings as
this one. I have searched all over and there isn't any good setup
videos on YouTube that clearly show what to do here. I have seen about
10 different ones and they are all very generic and do not go into
detail with this issue.
I cannot find a page that shows this radio and what settings to set.

Please let me know what I am doing wrong here.

Thanks so much!

David
