Locked Re: 2.6.0 wont run on Lubuntu 20.04 #linux

Keep in mind that most of these dependencies are due to the specific build/package being used, and not the code version itself! I have run everything from, iirc, 2.5.2 through current on an older Linux distro that isn't even mentioned in the docs when I build from source . . . All depends on what you are comfortable with.

Mike,

according to the download page, and for Linux:

* Version 2.6.0
o Debian, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, ... (64-bit)
So it should be compatible with Lubuntu 20.04 64 bit, unless 20.04 should read 22.04!

You should be able to check which version of libboost_log_setup.so your system has with the command:

locate libboost_log_setup.so

Installs fine. Apt reports all dependencies met. When attempting to run I get this:
wsjtx: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_log_setup.so.1.74.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

2.5.4 runs fine on this machine.

Probably means the binary was compiled on a 22.04 machine and I either have to start compiling my
own or upgrade to 22.04.
