Helped him out.  TX-70 rig and is using Mic/Spkr jacks with RigBlaster Advantage.Turned off all preamps....RigBlaser Rx to zero....Windows recording to zero...That gave him around 70dB on the WJST-X meter which works well for FT8  (AGC is keeping the signal in check).

Yes my Windows was up to date. Like I said a did a system restore twice and still getting 80 db. I am sure it's a setting in the input is set wrong. But I keep trying and can't bring the db's down.
