After setting the 706 correctly and going through the w10 computer set up, I have it all working. Made 5 contacts in the process.😊 Now, is it optimum? Tweaking over the next while will happen!

Gary,

Unplugging the microphone will take care of the problem.

Turning down the microphone gain would also work.
