Anyone NOT using the waterfall should not be running FT8, as it will only cause QRM... Even on a busy band, you need to ensure you are not transmitting over someone else, or you simply risk not being heard. It's right up there with calling a DX station on their QRG! 73 de Phil GU0SUP

It tells me if there's another station on, or close, to my offset and which stations are very loud, and splattering, or when a weak signal pops up. Possibly on very busy frequencies, like 20M, it may be of less use, but on VHF and UHF it's still useful to me.
