Many of the Field Day QSOs that should have been completed were using the shortened method. If WSJT-X didn't progress through to the point the log applet displayed, I kept going three times or so and went on. Those stations were not logged.

Hi Ty,
Others have mentioned that it is a VHF contest mode to gather grids only.
I understand that now, but this was on the HF bands and not in a contest.
So, I guess that I will just log it anyway...

That’s a normal contest mode response. It’s a short-cut to expedite the QSOs.
