Most meteor scatter is done with MSK144. It's far better suited for the mode. You can see what's happening in your area by going to the pskreporter site. https://pskreporter.info/pskmap.html Fill in the boxes at the top of the page.. So for instance you should have -- On 6 meters show signals sent/received by anyone using MSK144.. You'll see if there is any activity around you.
