Bill, to see if you can do that, in Windows File Explorer on a different computer, click on Network Neighborhood. If you see the other computer in the Neighborhood, you can replace the IP address with the computers name and that will work.
If you can't see it, then your network isn't setup for local name resolution. There is a chance it could still work using the name.
There are some work arounds if it doesn't work. As that's not a wsjt issue, contact me off the wsjt-x list at the email address below.
