Locked Re: Dependency Issues - Ubuntu Mate 20.04

Hi Bill V2.2.2 does install on Ubuntu 20.04 based distros. There are quite a few dependencies but they're all available in the Ubuntu archive as deb files and when these are installed the WSJT-X v2.2.2 deb installs easily. See attached. No need to compile from sources. Maybe your ok with v2.3.1 but if you still wanted to install
v2.2.2 on Mint 20.04 I can generate a list of the dependency deb
file locations. (I'd have to do the install again) Cheers Rick(GM4JIB) On 28/10/2020 16:10, Bill Carpenter

FWIW V.2.3.0-rc1 is now available with a package for 20.04. I just did a fresh installation of Mint 20 and found the same problem with libgfortran3 when i tried to install the 2.2.2 package. But the 2.3.0 rc1 package installed and worked fine. Yes, I can compile from source if I have a good set of instructions to follow but like any normal person I prefer the easier path of a package. And I greatly appreciate all the work that is done to produce those packages. I'm sue a final stable release of 2.3.0 will be available for 20.04 when all is said and done. |
