Ugh... Bill, I... I am familiar enough with how to change the config; as you well know. I am trying to help you help newbies that do not understand wsjt-x's non-standard config process - again without then messing up what already works. Oh, and I never suggested anything like, "how do you propose that WSJT-X detects that you have selected the wrong audio device or channel?" However, I have suggested to other users to change the name(s) of the usb codecs to be more specific to their task - i.e. "(x)rx in" & "(x)tx out"; x being the source name like signalink or 7300... ...but those good suggestions, like those of other users keep getting moderated away. In other words... minimized! I was under the impression that this forum was to assist in helping other users & to help improve the program; but I suppose I was wrong, so I guess I'll just shut the hell up, and what the same questions, issues & problems being asked about over & over.... 73 - John - N7GHZ On Wed, Jul 1, 2020, 11:49 AM Bill Somerville <g4wjs@...> wrote:
