Locked Re: No decoded sigs

For what it’s worth I agree with Bill here.  Editing the Registry should be reserved for those times when there is no alternative and even then very judiciously.   I have been running Dimension 4 for a couple of years now with no problems at all under both Win7 and Win10.  I have also used Meinburg NTP with no problems but my simple mind likes Dimension 4 better.

Hi Larry & all,

the WSJT-X developers do not recommend that users start editing the
system registry on Windows. This is potentially dangerous for your
system integrity, if you feel the necessity then be sure to make a full
registry backup before making any changes. The system registry is for
applications and the operating system to store internal data, it should
not normally be changed manually.

Also consider why Microsoft may have limited time updates to weekly for
Windows Desktop systems in the first place.

IMHO installing a well tried and tested application like Meinburg NTP or
Dimension 4 (or BktTimeSync if you have a GPS receiver available) is the
simplest and most community spirited option.
