Yes wsjt has access to the mike. I finally found the problem. On the waterfall settings somehow the check mark had moved to "Ref Spec" instead of being in the "Flatten" box. All is well now, thanks for your suggestion

Have your checked that WSJT-X has access to microphone. Windows can prevent it due to security issues. Of course there could be some other reason preventing audio to reach WXJT-X.

I tried the setup on another PC and it works fine and the black pointer on the audio meter worked fine with the audio bargraph showing about 60

Like I said on the PC I want to use there is no pointer on the bargraph, and nothing on the waterfall, which is scrolling down properly.
